Sensationnel Fab Fringe Wig Review!
Wig Review
I know.. I'm not the best blogger out there. There are some periods where I constantly update and others it's like tumble weed rolling through .. Lol.
What's new?.. Well
- I am now living in Canada. Currently a student
- I am still having hair troubles. Looking back on this blog where my hair thrived, it is just disappointing because it's like no mater what I do my hair is not bouncing back and I feel its just getting worse. Sigh *Tear*
&& Drum roll please :D
I am rocking a WIG. Afterall it's the reason for this blog post :D
Why a wig?
Wellbeing in a new country with a new climate and my hair just constantly shedding and just getting thinner and I feel weaker I just had to do something to put it away. I choose the Sensationnel Fab Fringe because I liked the look. The cut was cute and thought it would have looked good with my face shape.
The Review...
I bought this wig from Blackhairspray in the colour 1b. It cost me 31USD in total which includes the cost of the wig and to ship it to Canada. This was much better than buying it here because I saw it on 'Canadian black hair' website for $60 and that did not include shipping (I know that crazy right!)
Let me say it took a while to get here. Over a week. When I got it I didn't d anything to it like I have many of the ladies cut it to their specifications. I thought it was fine as it. I really liked it the first week and then second week I tried to add some curl/wavy pattern to it but that was an EPIC fail. The thing didn't curl it just made it look like a birds nest. But I got that sorted out with a flat iron and just putting it back in the bag it came in. One thing about the hair is that at the front, there is something definitely off with the colors. There's a part that's obviously a #1 but the wig I ordered is a 1B.. That's just strange and I don't care for it.
When it first arrived the bang laid perfectly but now its all over the place. This I don't mind cause I can control and I don't like hair that looks all neat and every single strand in place ALL THE TIME. The longer you wear it the less wiggy it looks so that's a good thing. But one thing I am really annoyed by this wig is its level of shedding. When I unboxed it the hair was falling out from everywhere and these weren't single strands. Two weeks after it still sheds but not as much as when I first opened the package. Also, the adjustable straps aren't very useful to me. I have to either keep them unhooked or just hooked on the first strap because the hair would just rise at the back and not lay flat. I don't think this is a norm...So...
Pros:
- Nice cut
- Doing it purpose as acting as protective style
- Affordable- depends on where you buy though
- Looks less wiggy with time
Cons:
- Didn't curl well
- Ordered 1b but there are visible #1 colors
- The back straps are useful
- Don't like the comb to the back
So would I recommend this wig to anyone else?
Of course I would! When its useless to me I would probably buy again but just not from blackhairspray. I really think your experience with the hair is heavily dependent on where you purchase the hair.

Relaxer Day Update (04.05.15)
So I have relaxed (self relaxed for the 3rd time ever) and I have to say it came out great. Although last time I didn't get the front completely straight but think time the left front is well done but the right side could have been straighter but it isn't as bad as last time. But hey! I'm learning still.
I'm excited is because I was tired of dealing with these two textures. I was apart of the castor oil challenge and my new growth is so thick and unbearable. Believe it or not I cant wait to straighten to gt rid of these thin ends and just work on my hair again.
The relaxer plan:
I'm excited is because I was tired of dealing with these two textures. I was apart of the castor oil challenge and my new growth is so thick and unbearable. Believe it or not I cant wait to straighten to gt rid of these thin ends and just work on my hair again.
The relaxer plan:
- Detangled with a wide tooth comb, part my hair in three sections and then did those sections ins smaller 1 inc sections for making the relaxer process easier. I based my scalp with Hollywood Beauty castor oil and on the length of my Paul Mitchell the detangler and Roux Porosity. By the time I was done there was considerably a good amount of hair in the sink. But then I took in account that since I was Thursday I have't put a comb to my hair or detangled. Also Most of the hairs had a curly end and white bulb so it was shedded hair. I'm glad it wasn't breakage so this just means I have to work on my shedding.
Detangled hair balled up |
Same hair in sink.. |
After mid-protein and neutralizing |
- Relax with ORS No lye. It took me about 25 to finish. For some reason I was running out of time and didn't want to go beyond so I washed out. I also observed the relaxer creme turned orange. I wasn't alarmed though. i just figured it was because of the Henna treatment I did two weeks ago.
- Do mid protein step w/ Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor. After rinse the relaxer I put in Aphogee w/ coconut oil and left it in and massaged for about two minutes. Most ladies who said they did this said their hair reverted. This didnt happen to me. Maybe I didnt leave it in long enough? LOL I will continue to include this step.
- Neutralize with Motions Neutralizing shampoo about 4 times with leaving the shampoo in for 2 minutes twice. There's something I don't get. When I neutralize the shampoo suds never turn pink. So does that mean I had gotten out all if not most the relaxer before hand? Crazy right?
- I didn't get to include the black tea rinse like I wanted. Mainly because I forget to put it too steep. By the time I remembered it was too late so I skipped it.
- DC w/Keracare Humecto with coconut oil and castor oil. These two oils are now KEY components in my regimen. Will not go without.
- I did a quick towel dry and then put in my leave ins. These include Aphogee Green tea keratin, Darcy Botanicals Leave in, Paul Mitchell Super Skinn Serum, Creme of Nature Straight from Eden Dentangling Spray and Creme of Nature foam wrap. At first I thought it was toomuch but my hair didnt feel weight down at all.
- I let my cousin rollerset my hair in big rollers. I cannot do that. If i did it I would be putting them back in after they keep falling out. By time she was finish I was about 50% dry but I went under the dryer set at low for 45 mins
- When the 45 mins were over my hair was completely dried I oil my scalp with castor oil and put some L'oreal serum my mom has (I dunno the name lol but I like it..smells nice) , and coconut oil on the length of my hair. Wrapped and then a bit of sheen spray. Now I just have my hair wrapped to go for my trim tomorrow.

Henna Day :)
This weekend I dubbed full strength henna weekend. The last treatment I did was probably back in January if not December so I was in need of it. So once I knew I had my henna boxes available there was nothing to stop me.
The Process:
Friday morning(Yes this kinda ..almost made me late for work) at about 6:50am I mixed my henna powder box. I used an entire 100g box plus two other packages that I ha in the freezer left over from past treatments. I mixed the powder up with a cup of two tea bags of green tea and one black tea brewed. Mixed it up until the consistency resembles yogurt. I covered it up and let it sit on the counter until I got home at about 7pm.
As I got home I added some bhringraj powder, cocout oil and honey to the henna mixture. I hopped in the shower and clarified with my ORS+ baking soda shampoo mixture then followed up with my Elasta qp Creme shampoo. My hair felt very clean and soft .. thumbs up! I let my hair dry to 80% and then added the henna. I did not detangle simple out of laziness, I detangled before washing and wanted the process to be over. At about 10pm I had applied the mixture to my entire head. I saran wrapped put on a plastic bag then bonnet and went to chill until bed time.
The next morning I got up after 10am got my barings together then opt to go outside and hose down the henna out of my head. I decided to use the hose cause I did not want to mess the bathroom up. It made the process much easier. OMG.. guys I cowashed with Herbal essences Hello Hydration and it was the best decision ever! Its one of the products I used back then that I stopped and now. Aussie moist deeeeep conditioner cannot hold a candle to it! My hair felt like butter! Like seriously. Before I would cowash with Aussie and it was just "Uhhh" and my hair didnt feel soft or even good.
It took about three cowash wot get most of it out and then deep conditioned with my Keracare Humecto +JBCO +CO+HE HH with heat for 30 minutes. I loved the results of the hello hydration so much I added it to my DC.
Conclusion:
This was the best henna treatment ever. After I dried (Air and blow dry) and moisturised my hair is soft especially my new growth, its flowy and feels so healthy. Where I am at the moment makes me feel that I can stretch much longer but I doubt I will lol. Henna treatments is something I plan to keep on doing.

Aliexpress Update.
So I told you guys about my issues with the Aliexpress vendor 7A Queen Hair Store. Those who do not know here's a link as to what I am referring to. Click here.
As you can see the vendor and I have been communicating since late February and this is April 19th and STILL NO REFUND!. The seller was pressuring me to give them a 5 star feedback in order to get my refund. I was totally against it because I don't see why I should review a hair as good when it is not. I wouldn't recommend any of my friends to try this hair unless they want the style for two weeks.
After a month+ of going back and forth and not wanting to give the feedback I eventually caved because I was upset that I paid for that piece of crap hair. The seller told me and this is verbatim "return to you $25 you give me a 5 star feed back right?" This was said on April 3rd. So I gave the feedback on April 11th and you know what the response was "friend, my boss will return to you $15"
All I could do was just laugh how pissed off I am. Today is April 19th and still no refund whether $15 or $25
I am begging you guys PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from these people. I don't see why their rating is so high. I guess its because of people like me who receive crap hair and promise their refund for good rating! Please don't buy and tell all your friends!

What Really Happens:
I am in love with this product! I first stumbled on this product back in December 2014 while on Hairlista when I was looking for a new leave-in conditioner. I decided to do some research and I have to admit I was a bit skeptical and I always leaned more towards cream based leave-ins. Also too that the products that I have tried that said they had "detangling" propertied never really lived up to expectations. I took the plunge.
This product does not disappoint in anyway. I can remember the first time I tried it, I literally had an hairgasm. This products is amazing, provides so much slip for detangling that you really don't have to do much. This was a bonus for me because it was a time when my hair wouldn't cooperate. I was continuously having knots and y hair just wouldn't budget. I even contemplated just cutting my hair to a very short length. Yeah, I was in a bad state. I have read other reviews that said that it was sticky and smelled funny but I love the smell and its not sticky at all. I really recommend this product and will continue purchasing as a staple product

Product review: Herbal Essence Touchably Smooth Split End Protector
PRODUCT REVIEW:
HE Touchably Smooth Split End Protector( Long Term Relationship Moisturizer)
March 28th 2015
Description:
Stop feeling like you're in splitsville. This is the beginning of beautiful ends. My formula quenches your strands for smoothness and help strengthen them against breakage. Your hair will feel as smooth as silk. Go ahead, touch , toss, or twirl.
Ingredients:
Water/EAU, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Dimethicone, Glutamic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Fragrance/Parfum, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Methylisothiazolinone, Zea Mays (Corn) Silk Extract, Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Fruit Extract, Hydrolyzed Silk.
What Really Happens:
I am very pleased with this product. It leaves my hair hydrated, softens and add luster without weighing down. For someone with naturally thin hair I am very selective of what product I use on my hair because some tend to leave my hair weighed down. This product does not do this. I used it before like in 2013 and then switched to Darcy Botanicals Lemongrass Transitioning Creme. DB was definitely not for me. It really weighed my hair down, I could never moisturize every day. But now I am back.
This product can also double up as a leave -in which I do air drying my hair sometimes. It can be used daily and leave your hair well moisturized. Overall, its a great product , one o my staple products and I highly recommend it.

Aliexpress Vendor To Avoid: 7a Queen Hair Store
I am not a weave person nor am I an aliexpress.com fanatic but I was a bit fed up with dealing with my hair. I was in need in such a break so I decided "what the heck! why not a weave?" Counting this time its the 2nd time I have put in a weave in my 21 years of life. I didnt want to go for those well known vendors like Princesshairshop or Magic Hair Company (After my last experience I would never again) because it would be too expensive for me because I get paid in XCD dollar with a conversion rate of 2.7169=1 USD.
Since I seen aliexpress around already I decided to do more research on deciding what vendor I would choose. I spent hours on youtube looking at hair reviews and blog post to get feedback from other ladies. Eventually I settled on this vendor : 7a Queen Store Store Here. The reviews looked good, its rated 3 diamonds with 96.8 positive feedback rating, and was affordable compared to other vendors. Sounds good right? Well I was completely wrong. Just sit back and let me to tell u about my exprience.
7A QUEEN HAIR
Let me continue to say I paid $58USD for this hair so thats like $158 converted to my currency then paid $50 to clear at customs and still paid $80 to install. I got the discounted price because I knew the girl. So that $288 .. May not seem a lot to you but it is to me for someone who, doesn't work for much, has bills to pay and keep saving to pay for the exorbitant college fees I have to bare soon enough. Direct Link to hairThe Good:
Hair didn't take long to arrive, it was pretty at first sight, and when washed it didn't run and it bounced back. It had a few red and green strands in it. It had little shedding, no tangling at first. How it looked like day 2. I had curled it with my Remmington curling wand. I have to admit it hold a curl beautifully
The Bad:
By mid week 2 then the hair started shedding ridiculously but I didn't pay it any attention. Week 3 now was when I just angry because the hair was just out of control. It was matting up, very tangled, even more shedding. If I combed, sometimes when the comb would manage to actually go through the hair, the hair not only would there chunk of hair in the comb or brushed but behind of me there were several strands of hair on the floor. This is how the hair looked
All Matted |
Knots and tangles for days |
Another knot..Sigh |
After this I thought maybe a cowash would help. I took to my trusty ORS Replenishing Conditioner. That lasted about a day because it went back to the pictures above. Then I thought of the idea of flat ironing because it being curly- its natural state- was doing no good. Imagine that eh?
Well it worked the hair behaved, no overwhelming shedding and tangles although they were some. That lasted about 6-7 days though.. After that all hell of this hair broke loose.
The Extremely Bad:
I couldn't take it any longer and decided to take it to the seller. I took pictures and sent them to the seller. I was in contact with someone called Obama lee . This is a screen grab of our conversation
Everything was going well until it was actually time to give me my refund. Now they are basically trying to bribe me. Saying if to give rating to get my refund. Are these people serious? I would never buy from thus vendor again and neither should you. Please be CAUTION.
We have been communicating since March 17th and no refund and its now the 28th. Don't buy from this vendor! I wouldn't ever again and you shouldn't either. I don't honestly believe that all the vendors on Aliexpress are like this but this is how they were with me. I am just sharing my experience and it was awful. The wanted a 5 star rating well they got a rating but just not 5 star.
