I kinda typo-ed in (is that a word?) in the previous post when I said I will be using PAUL MITCHELL only but clearly thats not directly true. Yes, Im using his shampoo and conditioner and that's what I meant. Something I've never done before (Using shappo and conditioner from the same line)

I really wanted to try Darcy Botancials and those two were recommended to me by another hair grower. So I'm giving them a try :)

Later on I will post how I intend on using these products.. my regimen.

Is that your hair?!!

...
A week ago the weirdest thing happened to me. I went to work and when I was on my lunch break heading into central town., there' a guy I know for years and then when I step out off the bus he came out to me and was like

Him : "Is that your real hair?"
Me:  " Umm Does it look like a weave?"
Him: Cuz watching you from behind all the time an I'm sayin that you weave look real nice"
Me : " Lol, its not a weave my hair"
Him: " Really? Since when you hair get so long?"
Me: " My hair ain long to me"

All this time Im thing well, my hair is tucked back in an updo so he's not seeing my hair down and Im only grazing APL and to me that's not long cause its not my long term goal.

Him: "Well the way you have it tucked back I swear it was a weave"
Me: No its not a weave its my hair"

---> Then Later that day lie 3 hours after I went into the drug store. This guys is right behind me and he's looking right at me. Its so obvious that he's behind me and he's looking at me and he's moving about like he's really trying to see something. Then finally I go

Me: "Something wrong?"
Him: "I'm trying to see if thats your real hair cause girls now a these days none a them step out without weaves"
Me: " Lol, nar man it is my hair but you could have just asked and not be all creepy behind me"

--->Then 1hr later I had two women approach me and ask me if that's my hair. Ladies!! I am happy. You know why? Cause my hair is so healthy growing with its natural shine that people think its a weave.

Its amazing to me tho that my hair was in an updo and people thought it was a weave and also how much guys asked me "Is that your hair!?"

Heck! Maybe that show be the name of my blog. hee hee :)

I'm doing the Mitchell.. Paul Mitchell!

I have finally got rid of my unwanted stash of products. During the month of Jan - present I was on a mission to get rid of my stash and focus on one set of products at a time. Also I have been wanting to try just ONE product line. We all know how products are meant to compliment so I wanted to try it out

... After long consideration I decided to try Paul Mitchell.

Problems I wanted to overcome:

  • Keeping hair moisturized
  • Frizzy hair
  • Continue controlling low breakage
  • Something that keep my scalp clean

                                                             <3 <3
                  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What did I get?? :)

Me? Since I wanted much smoother hair I got the smoothing super skinny? super smoothing skinny line? Uhhh I dunno o.0  Anyway.. I got:

  1. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Shampoo
  2. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Daily Treatment
  3. Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum
  4. Paul Mitchell Super Charged Moisturiser
  5. Paul Mitchell Awaphui Wild Ginger Shampoo

Yep! 5 PM products. Granted these are not the only products that are currently apart of my regimen. I am looking forward to using these products and seeing how my hair responds to them. However, I have used the PM SS Daily Treatment because when I relaxed the ORS left my hair feeling dry and OMG! I had a hairgasm. How it softened my hair was unbelievable - made me moan lol :D

Will Be posting my reviews when I think I have had adequate time using them.. All for now

My experience:Elasta Qp Mango Butter Moisturizer

This product:

Moisturizing Butter of Mango and Olive Oil creates this intensely rich thermal protecting treatment. Use Olive Oil & Butter Moisturizer daily for softer fuller looking hairMoisturizing Butter of Mango and Olive Oil helps strengthen and protect hair against breakage, split-ends and dryness

Directions:

Apply daily to target dry ends and prevent breakage. Use Olive & Mango Butter Moisturizer after application of Breakage Control Serum.

My Assessment:

Well, this was the first moisturizer that I ever used and I absolutely adored it! My hair always felt moisturized. . I used this product  for about 10 months until I decided I wanted to go for a more water-based moisturizer (HE Split-End Protector). The only problem is I didnt like using it on my hair when it was freshly relaxed to 3 weeks post. It would make my hair feel a bit oily. Even more so now that my hair feels weighed down  and its not possible to moisturize daily. All in all, I really do like this product. I have more of it and I still use it but its not my main moisturizer.

My experience: Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave in Cream

When I first start my hair journey this is one of the products that I first bought. This means that I have had this product over year but I haven't used it for my entire journey. Matter of fact just yesterday February 4th 2013 I finished it (Not really cause I still will cut the bottle in half and get ALL that product. This girl is getting her money worth!)

Neutrogena Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave in Cream

Product Promises to:
Melt effortlessly into strands, improving smoothness and manageability while diminishing fly-aways and frizz. This silky daily cream spreads evenly, absorbing quickly to instantly soften, smooth and condition extra dry, damaged strands. Three naturally derived extracts work to defy dryness. Olive penetrates to the center of the hair strand, Meadowfoam Seed helps moisturize the middle and Sweet Almond wraps the surface. It also contains UV filters.

Directions:
Apply to damp or dry hair. Shake well before using. Dispense a small amount of cream into your hand. Spread between palms to form a thin layer. Gently work cream downward throughout your hair, concentrating on ends and outer layers. Do not rinse. Style as usual.

My experience:

Some ladies have sworn by this and maybe it has worked for them but it did nothing for me :(. I probably used this product every method that I could think of. First as a leave-in, but when my hair was completely dried it felt just coated with product, as if the product didn't penetrate my hair shaft and it just sat on top. Then I tried it as a moisturizer and my hair never felt moisturized when I used it. It this product for 5 months like this with no luck. Recently, I started using it as a new growth moisturizer as a result of my clearing up my stash and using off products. Urghh! my new growth drank that stuff and it never felt satisfied. So thats it! This product is not for me. No matter which way I turned it this product never worked for me. I am glad for those ladies have had success with it- It was a BIG No No.
